Olafur Arnalds: Island Songs

The innovative composer Ólafur Arnalds (BAFTA Award winner for Broadchurch) explores the vibrant artistic life of his fellow countrymen and women in a seven week journey from the remotest northern village to the beautiful Westfjords.

 

Captured by acclaimed director, Baldvin Z (BBC Four’s Trapped and Life Through a Fish Bowl), Arnalds performs with seven diverse music-makers, including Of Monsters and Men’s Nanna Bryndís, Hollywood film composer Atli Örvarsson, Poet Einar Georg, organist Dagný Arnalds and The South Iceland Chamber Choir.
